“That’s just it. I feel like I don’t belong here. The house is wife and mother now, and nursemaid. Can I compete with an African veldt? Can I give a bath and scrub the children as efficiently or quickly as the automatic scrub bath can? I cannot.- The veldt”

From this quote from The Veldt, it can be seen that technologies played an important role in human life than in the past and it leads me to think about how much people rely on technology and stuffs that make their life easier. They tend to have less patience and want to complete or succeed within a shorter period of time.

Statement: The instant culture is penetrating into human daily life nowadays.

Question: Is technology one of the reasons that make people tend to have less patience and effort?

Key words: Instant gratification, immediate fulfillment, accessible, instant success, consumerism, short term value
