Take over

Internet is now people new best friend. We can do everything and find everything on the internet. Some job has been taken by the digital technologies. There is some job that human can do better than machine and some job machine can work better than human. There is also something that internet cannot replaced.

I have watched one movie that want to reflect on how people nowadays rely too much on the internet. ‘Nerve’ is a movie talking about how teenagers using internet to find entertainment in a wrong way and how easy cyber can ruin your life. In the movie there is a dark website and application called nerve which people can choose to be watcher or player. If you choose to be player you have to play truth or dare game which in this game there is only dare. If you can complete the dare you will get money from watchers as a reward. Once you play you will not be able to stop it until you can win. The movies show that the watchers which in our life is stranger and other people on the internet about but we let them take control of our life and manipulated us to be something else. At the end of the movie it shows that people on the internet they are out of limit which is like the situation in reality that they comment or bully somone with texts. They might not know the consequences how it can ruin someone’s life. We should not let the internet or even people on the internet to manipulated us. Technologies can be useful and meaningful when we use it in the right way.

For this week experiment I adapted it from the story of The Veldt. There was a part that the story narrate about the Africa. We can imagine how it was like just by words. So I want to know if it is enough to travel through internet, by just seeing picture, reading the narrative information or hearing a sound.

It was an August’s sea. It is not a high season because in this period of time it can be super hot and sometimes there is a rain. It is such a peaceful beach. There is a sound of the wave that sing me a lullaby song at 2 pm. it was before I got on the boat to go to the other side of the sea that that was an island at the edge of the sea.
